Established in 1980, The Art Gallery of Fells Point is a cooperative non-profit body. It is the oldest Art Gallery in the State of Maryland that is not supported by public funds.
The Gallery offers a new show each month of framed paintings in oil, Acrylic, watercolor, pen and ink, calligraphy as well as sculpture, pottery and jewelry. Unframed, matted paintings and prints are also available, as are cards and notepaper.
Every October the Art Gallery hosts the North American Miniature Exhibition, with work from artists all over the US, Canada and Mexico. Up to 450 paintings, sculptures and other works have been submitted- no more the 4″ x 6″ in size!
The Gallery is open Wednesday through Sunday on a regular basis and some evenings. Hours are 2pm to 8pm, Wednesday through Saturday, and 11am-5pm on Sundays.
After 18 years on Broadway, 17 years on Thames Street and 1 year on Fleet Street, we have recently moved to 825 W. 36th Street in the Hampden section of Baltimore City. It is “on the Avenue” as the center of the neighborhood is called, and surrounded by restaurants, coffee shops, antique stores, clothing stores and even several chocolate shops!
The Gallery is always seeking new members. Membership is based on the artistic ability and growth potential of the prospective new member. Artists pay annual dues and work in the gallery once a month. Please see the membership page on the website for a membership application to download and more details.
